SACB offers an academy with Classical Ballet and Pointe training, along with Tap and Jazz.

Can I watch my child during class?

Classes are closed for viewing as a general rule, as it becomes too distracting to the students. However, each semester we have a week reserved for parents and/or guardians to observe the whole class session.

Does my child get to participate in a performance?

SACB presents five annual productions. While the fall and spring productions are reserved for upper level and professional guest dancers, there are performance opportunities for students of all ages and levels. "The Nutcracker" invites all students in Ballet 1B or ages seven and older to audition. In the second semester of classes, SACB offers the Spring Student Showcase, which includes all students in each class to present a showcase to their friends and families of the material they have learned in the semester. June also offers a performance opportunity for students who are eligible to participate in workshops for "Peter and the Wolf".

What does my child have to wear in class?

Dress code for SACB academy classes require black leotard, pink tights and pink (or black, depending on class) shoes; boys are required to wear white short-sleeved shirt, black tights and black ballet shoes. Tap shoes are required for Tap, and jazz shoes are required for Jazz.

  • Creative Movement 1 and 2 can wear black or pink leotards.
